All tours and excursions are operated by TSG-Congress Ltd and will be conducted in English with a minimum of 15-25 participants. Rates are subject to government imposed increases and taxes. In the case of cancellation of a tour due to the insufficient number of participants, we reserve the right to cancel a tour or vary itineraries.
Medical and package insurances are recommended.

Lapland - A Midnight Sun experience
     Saturday 10 - Monday 12 July

On this tour you will be able to experience all essential elements of Lapponian summer - the Midnight Sun, natural environment, wild waters, a genuine reindeer ranch, the gastronomy of Lapland and Santa Claus. Here the silence is awesome, the air clean and nature unspoilt. Fall in love with the magic of the Midnight Sun, one of the natural marvels on Planet Earth. Here, at the very top of Europe, the sun never sinks below the horizon between May and July.
Rovaniemi, capital of Lapland, is a city right on the Arctic Circle and the home of Santa Claus.
We have reserved you time to spend at the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus village. Meet Santa Claus himself, send some postcards from Santa's post office and do some shopping in the small boutiques.
Visit the Arktikum house, which is a unique science centre and museum presenting the northern polar region.
We will take you on an exciting riverboat ride to a genuine reindeer farm where all the secrets of rearing reindeers will be shown in practice.
We then continue to a rustic wilderness cottage where a splendid Lapp dinner will be prepared for you. A perfect highlight to this tour will be to watch the neversetting Midnight Sun and the stillness of the white night from the top of Ounasvaara fell.
Second day has been reserved for you to meet local Soroptimist sisters.
On the third day you will fly back to Helsinki.The tour ends at Helsinki airport.

Turku, the former Capital of Finland
     Saturday 10 - Sunday 11 July

Turku is the former capital of Finland and is located on the west coast. The river Aura flows through the city and in summer the banks are alive with floating boat restaurants and small boats leaving for archipelago. Turku is a charming cultural city where history and today meet.
After arrival in Turku you will visit Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova Museums with an excellent collection of modern art. At Aboa Vetus you will learn about the history of Finland and Turku from 14th century until today.The Handicraft Museum in Luostarinmäki from of the 18th century is one of the very few areas in Europe where you can still experience the cosiness of wooden town houses close together along narrow lanes. Also the old medieval castle of Turku, which dates back to 13th century will be visited. The evening programma is organised by local Soroptimists.
The next morning is reserved for you to do some shopping in the centre of town. Your hotel is nicely located in the city centre near all major shopping areas. Enjoy also a stroll by the beautiful riverside walk.
In the afternoon we will depart for a cruise in the archipelago on an old steam boat m/s Ukkopekka where a special buffet lunch will be served on board. The boat will sail to Naantali,a small medieval town at the seaside and before returning to Helsinki coffee will be served in the town.
Arrival in Helsinki will be early evening.

Lakes of Finland
     Friday 9 July - Sunday 11 July

Finland is the land of thousands of blue lakes and the Central Western lake district of Finland is admired especially because of its picturesque scenery. This special tour covers the landscape of Central Finland with its many lakes and forests. We will visit the main centres of Lahti, Jyväskylä and Hämeenlinna and meet local Soroptimist sisters in these destinations.
Our tour will start with a visit to the city of Lahti. The nature around Lahti area is dominated by the magnificient scenes of beautiful lakes and the Salpausselkä ridge. Today Lahti is a lively industrial and commerciel center which is known not only as an international winter sports center, but also as the town for arts, designing and music.
After a sightseeing tour around the city lunch will be served. We then continue towards Jyväskylä, a town located right at the heart of Finland. We will arrive there towards evening and still have some time to enjoy the white summer night. The hotel is located right in the town center and dinner will be served at the hotel.
The next morning will be spent at Jyväskylä. This university and cultural town is full of interesting places to visit. We will visit the museum of Alvar Aalto. A large display of the life's work of Alvar Aalto, the famous Finnish architect, is a permanent attraction of the museum. In the afternoon the tour continues with a traditional in lake cruise. The beautiful small village of "Savutuvan apaja" is situated on the lake of Päijänne, at the crossroads of four waterways. We will enjoy the rustic atmosphere of the village and traditional Finnish lunch will be served. Our destination for the evening is Hämeenlinna. The second night is spent in a hotel located by the beautiful lake of Vanajavesi. Hämeenlinna is rich in history and culture and one of the most important sites of the town is the medieval royal castle. It is believed to have been built at the end of the 13th century. A guided tour around the castle and its vaults housing prison and artillery museums will take an hour. The district of Hämeenlinna is regarded as the cradle of Finnish designing and there are important factory sites at the area. We will visit littala glassware museum and factory shop - what an excellent opportunity to buy some souvenirs!
We will be back in Helsinki in the evening of Sunday 11 July.

This active tour will give you a chance to combine your favourite hobby with some sightseeing around Southern Finland. Many of the Finnish golfcourses are in peaceful harmony with the surrounding scenery of lakes, forests and parks, so while playing golf you can enjoy the beauty ofthe Nordic wilderness. Our carefully selected destinations will offer excellent facilities and services, beautiful scenery and plenty of golfing challenges. We will tour three different golfcourses and visit interesting historical and cultural sights on our way. Golf will be played during the daytime and for the evenings we wil] organise special Finnish programma for you. After long day's activities remember to relax in a Finnish sauna ! St. Petersburg, Russia
      Departures : Friday 9 July and Saturday 10 July

This will be an unforgettable Soroptimist tour by train to St. Petersburg, the old capital of the Russian Empire. St.Petersburg is nothing less than a true metropolis of arts - an attractive pearl for art lovers, ballet, music and theatre enthusiasts, as well as admirers of great architecture.
This grand city, known as Leningrad during the Soviet period, was originally masterminded and built by Peter the Great in the 18th century as a rival to Venice. It stands proudly on a series of islands connected by more than 300 bridges in the eastern-most corner of the Gulf of Finland. lnnumerable treasures of European and Russian art can be seen in the museums, galleries and collections. We guarantee that meeting local Soroptimists will be an unforgettable experience as well. Departing by train from Helsinki early morning, our tour includes a Russian visa, half-board accommodation, sightseeing as well as visits to Hermitage, Petershof, St. Isaac's Cathedral and Peter and Paul Fortress.
The tour is guided by a local English speaking guide.
Evening return to Helsinki on the 3rd day.

Tallinn, Estonia

One day excursion by boat across the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn, Capital of Estonia. Tallinn is the main cultural, historical and administrative centre of the republic and in many ways Tallinn presents an exceptionally attractive city for a culture-oriented visitor. The majestic Toompea Casle and magnificent cathedral dominate the upper part of the city, while the lower area includes a 14th century Town Hall. Tallinn is truly a city of fascinating mixture of old and new and it is a town of red roofs, numerous towers and medieval architecture. We offer you a nice sightseeing tour with English speaking guide and a chance to meet local Soroptimist sisters.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Departure will be by boat in the morning with arrival by boat in the same evening.
