Convention
Venue
Finlandia Hall
was designed by master architect
Alvar Aalto and it is located in
a parklike setting right in the
downtown area. Next to it lies
the beautiful Gulf of Töölö
and during the programma breaks
the visitors can enjoy strolls in
the nearby parks.
The main building of the Hall
will be reserved exclusively for
Soroptimists and the bright and
open foyers leave space for
informative displays.
Most conveniently, Finlandia Hall
is within easy walking distance
from most of the convention
hotels. Both the Pre- and
Post-Convention Soroptimist
International Board meetings will
be held at the official
convention hotel - Hotel
Inter-Continental.
Soroptimist
Friendship Lounge
A Soroptimist
Friendship lounge will be
available to attendees in
Finlandia Hall during the
Convention and will be an area in
which you may meet your friends.
Convention
Language
The working
language of the Convention will
be English. Translation equipment
will be provided for those
Federations requesting its use.
